Completed Day 02 of the 6 - Week Kubernetes Workshop Series by CertDirectory.io, led by Tharindu Kalhara .
This session focused on Infrastructure as Code and how modern Kubernetes clusters are provisioned in real-world environments. We explored how Terraform and Terragrunt are used together to deploy a production-ready Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) cluster while keeping infrastructure clean, reusable, and scalable.
Gained hands-on exposure to structuring infrastructure in layers - starting from resource groups, moving through networking components, and finally deploying the AKS cluster itself. Also learned how Terragrunt helps manage dependencies and shared configurations efficiently, reducing duplication and improving maintainability.
Worked with tools like Azure CLI and kubectl to provision and connect to a live cluster, bridging the gap between theory and practical implementation.
Looking forward to applying these Infrastructure as Code practices in upcoming Kubernetes deployments! ?
